Our shop is fully equipped with a state-of-the-art dyno tune, which is essential for dialing in your fuel injection system to achieve optimal performance. In addition, we utilize in house machinery that allows us to bore cylinders and install a cam upgrade kit with the utmost precision, ensuring that everything functions as well as it possibly could for your motorcycle.
We don’t just improve your bike’s engine sound; we also install audio systems to enhance your audio experience. Our skilled team integrates high-quality sound systems that fit your bike perfectly. We proudly work with Rockford Audio, a leading name in the industry, to provide you with the best setup.
To effectively maintain your engine, we encourage you to bring it in for regular service appointments. We are pleased to offer oil changes on Saturdays, available on a first-come, first-served basis, to help keep your engine running at its best. It is recommended that you change your oil every 2,500 miles to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Every 5,000 miles, it is important to replace the engine oil as well as the oil in both the primary and transmission systems. During the 5,000-mile service, we will conduct a thorough and detailed 20-point inspection, along with necessary adjustments, to help prolong the life of your bike's various parts and enhance its overall performance.
We take great pride in our exceptional high-resolution detailing on motorcycles, ensuring that every intricate feature of your bike is beautifully showcased and highlighted to perfection. Meet the Shop

Domenic Rosati has over 50 years of experience in riding, racing, and repairing motorcycles. He started as a mechanic at a local shop in Hyde Park at age 13. In 1994, he worked part-time at Sportster Specialties and eventually bought the company, rebranding it as J & D Cycles. In the early years of the shop Dom and his partner designed custom hot rods that looked good and sounded even better — bringing home trophies from shows across the northeast.

In the 2000s, he balanced a full-time job as a motorcycle and bus mechanic for the Public Transit System while running J & D Cycles. He loves building custom hot rods and works closely with customers to meet their performance needs.

His son, Domenic Jr., has become interested in Harley electronics, following in his father’s footsteps, and is now a certified Rockford Audio Specialist after starting at the shop.

In 2024, he retired from the Transit System to focus fully on J & D Cycles. Following his retirement he took on a mechanical apprentice, Skylar Martin.
